Yup,,,,
I think I need to share something about the craziness of Jakarta's roads. Ups,,,OK, I make a confession. I am not living in Jakarta, but I am daily driving my red slim motorcycle through Jakarta's crazy roads. Few friend of mine saw me as a crazy girl and I am fully aware about this.
Yah, for everyone who has yet to know the condition of Jakarta, now I am announcing the Jakarta's roads are full with mad drivers every day and almost every time. OK, that is not an announcement, everybody knows that. Hey, how about this,,,, I can even bet that not all of them (the drivers) are having driving license. Crazy??....yes, Indeed.....but anyway this is happening, at least in Indonesia and here I am getting involve with these 'mad' drivers. hahahaa..... but I need to highlight that I am not one of these kind. I am a very normal driver, but frankly speaking I have never relaxed during driving in Jakarta. The motorcycles are moving to everywhere as they wish and so the cars. There is no strict rule about this. Vehicles can suddenly stop and or move their direction. This create confusion for me. The sad thing is that sometimes Police seem do not care (or perhaps they indeed do not care) with this condition.
Considering cheap price of fuel for motorcycle and independencies to go everywhere as I wish , I tried to stick with my cute red motorcycle. Bad air pollution, traffic congestion, heat and bad drivers are becoming my enemies, but so far I can handle with that. OK, I know air pollution will become worse if people keep on buying new vehicle, but we do not have good public and massive transportation here at this very moment. Busway could not solve the problem and I do really wish that our government could find other better solution for us. Now, all I can do is depending on my motorcycle to reach the office and hoping that my headache will not come back after years gone, due to stress. ^^!!!
Just like people say, living in Jakarta is so full of stress....I miss to smell the fresh air and see the green environment....
